We are looking for an Applied AI Specialist (associate or Senior Associate) to help shape this work.

About the role
We are looking for an Applied AI Specialist who can help translate emerging AI capabilities into practical applications that strengthen both how we work internally and how we support our partners externally.
This role combines technical experimentation, solution design, and consulting thinking. You will help bridge business needs and AI-enabled tools turning ideas into working prototypes, reusable delivery components, and scalable service offerings.
You will contribute directly to building Voluntas’ applied AI capability.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and prototype applied AI solutions supporting internal workflows and project delivery
  • Integrate LLM-based capabilities into research, analysis, reporting, and knowledge workflows
  • Translate consulting and operational needs into structured technical solutions
  • Support development of reusable AI-enabled tools that strengthen consulting delivery
  • Contribute to building client-facing digital components that can evolve into products or services
  • Evaluate emerging tools and frameworks and assess their relevance for Voluntas
  • Help translate experimentation into scalable offerings that can support external engagements
  • Contribute to defining best practices for responsible and meaningful use of AI
  • Collaborate across teams to embed AI into real delivery contexts
At Senior Associate level, you will additionally:
  • Lead applied AI solution design across multiple use cases
  • Shape emerging digital products and service components
  • Mentor colleagues experimenting with AI-enabled workflows
  • Support development of Voluntās’ applied AI roadmap
  • Contribute to positioning AI-enabled capabilities in client engagements where relevant

What we are looking for
  • 3 - 8 years of hands-on experience in automation tools, productivity platforms, AI applications, or digital workflow solutions.
  • Master’s degree such as M.Tech, MCA, MCS, or equivalent preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree candidates may be considered with strong project-based AI/ML experience.
  • Strong understanding of system design, software development life cycle, and practical software engineering principles.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Natural Language Processing, Topic Modelling, LLMs, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, NLTK, Scikit-learn, and machine learning model development.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM-based projects, text analytics, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and AI-enabled workflow solutions.
  • Working knowledge of at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM application frameworks.
  • Good understanding of vectors, embeddings, semantic search, RAG, and vector-based retrieval systems.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI assistants, automation workflows, and LLM-powered productivity solutions.
  • Ability to convert business and operational challenges into practical AI automation solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are excited by building tools that strengthen both internal effectiveness and client-facing offerings  
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in international, cross-functional environments

Associate level
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in usage of Claude Code (CLI), Codex or similar tools.
Senior Associate level
  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing scalable automation or AI-enabled workflows
  • Ability to move from concept → prototype → deployment
  • Experience contributing to capability-building or product-oriented solution development
Experience with Python, embeddings workflows, LangChain-style tooling, API orchestration, or lightweight application prototyping is an advantage.
