About Voluntas
At Voluntas, we believe that every human being has the right to live a meaningful life. Across organizations and societies, we work to realize human potential through insight, strategy, and action.
As part of this journey, we are strengthening how we use technology not as an end in itself, but as a way to support better thinking, better collaboration, and more meaningful work. We are therefore building new digital capabilities that improve how we operate internally and how we support our partners externally.
We are looking for an AI Automation Associate to help shape this work.

The role
As an AI Automation Associate, you will help identify opportunities where intelligent tools and automation can improve workflows across Voluntas while also contributing to the development of scalable digital tools and service components that can be used in client engagements.
This role sits at the intersection of operations, consulting delivery, and capability development.
You will help ensure that experimentation with AI translates into practical and reusable solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows using AI-enabled tools and automation platforms
  • Design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve collaboration across teams
  • Support integration of AI tools into everyday delivery processes (research, analysis, reporting, coordination)
  • Contribute to developing reusable automation components that can support client-facing work
  • Help translate internal experimentation into scalable service elements
  • Document workflows and build simple playbooks to support adoption across the organization
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities where AI-enabled tools can strengthen delivery
  • Support development of digital solutions that can evolve into external products or service offerings
  • Contribute to building a culture of thoughtful experimentation with emerging technologies

What we are looking for

We are looking for a structured and curious colleague who enjoys improving how things work and helping translate experimentation into usable solutions.
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in automation tools, productivity platforms, AI applications, or digital workflow solutions.
  • Master’s degree such as M.Tech, MCA, MCS, or equivalent preferred; Bachelor’s degree candidates may be considered with strong project-based AI/ML experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for building scripts, API integrations, and custom automation logic.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, and third-party SaaS integrations.
  • Practical experience integrating AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms
  • Ability to design and build AI-powered workflows, including chatbots, document processing, email automation, CRM automation, reporting workflows, and internal assistants.
  • Experiences with SQL/NoSQL databases and/or data tools like Supabase, AirTable, etc.
  • Good understanding of prompt engineering, AI workflow design, embeddings, RAG, and vector databases are preferred.
  • Proven experience automating workflows across business systems.
  • Strong understanding of error handling, logging, monitoring, retries, alerts, and workflow reliability
  • Experience building human-in-the-loop approval flows for cases where AI outputs require review or validation.
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, access control, security and compliance best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are motivated by contributing to capability-building in a growing organization
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in international, cross-functional environments.

What you will gain
At Voluntas, you will:
    • Help shape how AI supports meaningful consulting work
    • Contribute to building new digital capabilities from the ground up
    • Work across global teams and disciplines
    • Support development of tools that strengthen both internal effectiveness and external services
    • Be part of a team that values reflection as much as execution

Deadline: July 31st, 2026.

If you are motivated by improving how organizations work and by helping technology serve people rather than the other way around, we would be happy to hear from you.
