About Voluntas:
Voluntās specializes in providing meaningful research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning services in developing contexts, conflict zones, fragile states, and transitional environments. We use insights to inform fact-based recommendations and policy options grounded in extensive research and data collection. Our goal is to generate positive, sustainable impact for populations affected by crisis, improving their living standards and access to rights.
To date, Voluntās has implemented more than 250 projects in volatile regions with partners including UN agencies, the EU, USAID, and international NGOs. We operate in nine countries, with ongoing projects across East and North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Ukraine. Our work spans policy and programming, needs assessments, perception studies, contextual analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. Thematic areas include environment and climate change, conflict resolution, employment, food security, gender, governance, human rights, migration, political economy, prevention of violent extremism, public health, WASH, and youth.
As part of upcoming and ongoing projects across Lebanon, Voluntas is seeking to establish a roster of qualified researchers and enumerators to support data collection across projects.

Scope of Work:
Selected researchers and enumerators will be engaged on a daily, assignment-based basis to support qualitative and quantitative data collection activities, including:
- Key Informant Interviews (KIIs)
- Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)
- Surveys (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews or Computer Assisted Personal Interviews)
- Site visits and observational assessments
Assignments will take place across all regions of Lebanon, with particular focus on:
- South Lebanon
- North Lebanon
- Bekaa
- Mount Lebanon
- Beirut
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer surveys, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Site Visits ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data collected.
- Use mobile data collection tools, including the KoBo platform and Qualtrics, to record responses correctly and completely (experience with KoBo and Qualtrics is an asset).
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards of data collection, including confidentiality, informed consent, and respectful engagement with participants.
- Ask questions in a clear, neutral manner without influencing respondents’ answers.
- Support different modalities of data collection, including door-to-door household surveys, community-based assessments, and on-site interviews.
- Prepare, review, and submit high-quality, accurate, and well-structured transcripts of KIIs, FGDs and Site Visits, ensuring completeness, clarity, and faithful representation of participants’ responses within agreed timelines.
- Report any challenges, risks, or inconsistencies to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Required Expertise:
Applicants should have experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Education
- Child Protection
- Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
- WASH
- Infrastructure
- Trauma Informed Methodologies
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as an enumerator or field researcher is required. Previous experience conducting data collection with vulnerable populations is a strong asset.
Requirements:
- University degree (Bachelor’s minimum) or currently enrolled university student (2nd or 3rd year).
- Proven experience in data collection, particularly KIIs, FGDs, surveys, and site visits.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Basic knowledge of mobile data collection tools (preferably KoBo and Qualtrics).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of data collection ethics and ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
- Flexibility to work in the field and adapt to different contexts.
- Ability to travel within assigned regions.
Compensation:
Daily rate ranging from USD 100 to USD 300, depending on:
- Nature and complexity of the assignment
- Level of experience
- Geographic location
